HOW DOES THE RED LIGHT, GREEN LIGHT, EAT RIGHT ONLINE PROGRAM WORK?

It's easy and fun! The program is designed so that each child eats three meals and two snacks a day.  Based on your child's height, weight, gender, and age, the customized program will determine how many green or yellow light foods (healthier food options) should be eaten at each meal and snack.  Additionally, each child is also allowed (and encouraged!) to eat two red light foods (least healthy food options) each week.  Even better, some foods (such as fruit, vegetables and fat-free cheeses) are considered FREE fuel.  Kids can eat unlimited amounts of free foods whenever they like, without giving up any green light servings.  No child will go hungry on Red Light, Green Light, Eat Right!

Red Light, Green Light, Eat Right! is not an extremely low-calorie or low-carbohydrate program.  Your child will not be surviving on just bean sprouts and string beans.  In fact, your child will be eating the same foods he/she always eats- just with some healthy modifications and portion-control.

PROGRAM PLAN:

A program plan will be generated based your child’s BMI percentile, age, and gender.  The plan will delineate the number of colors that should be eaten at each meal and snack.  Members of Red Light, Green Light, Eat Right! eat three meals and two snacks a day.  Each child also gets two red light foods each week.  Nobody goes hungry as certain foods are unlimited.

UNLIMITED DATABASE ACCESS:

Enjoy unlimited access to our database of foods.  Over one thousand foods have been divided into red light, yellow light, and green light categories.  Simply type in the name of the food you wish to eat and the appropriate color and serving size will be displayed.

BMI TRACKER:

Children should be weighed on a weekly basis, preferably with the same scale and at the same time of day.  Record your child’s weekly weight and the BMI tracker will calculate your child’s new BMI percentile.  Watch that number drop each week!
